Tomáš Pazdera was born as a healthy child, but at the age of eight, he was diagnosed with meningitidis. Since then, he has been hard of hearing. In the past, his main focus was on athletics, but he shifted to snowboarding when he was eleven. He is a two-time Deaflympics champion, with his latest gold medal won at the December 2019 games in Italy. He is the reigning world champion and a long undefeated professional. He trains together with Eva Samková.
